According to Mojtaba Jamali, an Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization official, registration for the contest started on Saturday, May 6.
Contenders can refer to the website Quraniran.ir to apply for the competition, he said.
He added that they will compete in categories like Quran recitation, Tarteel, memorization (at four levels), translation, Adhan (call to prayer), Nahj al-Balagha, Sahifeh Sajjadiyeh and recitation of supplications.
The registration deadline for contenders all over the country is June 5, according to Jamali.
The Islamic Republic of Iran’s National Quran Competition is annually held by the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization with the participation of top Quran activists from across the country.
It is aimed at discovering Quranic talents and promoting Quranic activities in society.
